Restauration of the royal castle El Mechouer :

Tlemcen, where historians lived and preferred to call “the city of arts and history”, is a city which comprehends many inestimable monuments and historical sites such as the citadel of El Mechouar.
The restoration of the Zianide royal castle which is situated at the heart of the citadel of El Mechouar, was motivated by the importance this monument has in the history of the Maghreb, in general, and the one of Tlemcen in particular.
The restored royal castle is constituted of four wings around a patio which holds a garden and an ornamental lake, as you can see on the pictures
