Just beyond the main gate of the Bou Rokba Martyrs Cemetery, located on Bou Rokba Mountain, found the GMC CCKW armored military colonial truck, modified by the DEFA (Direction des Etudes et de la Fabrication d'Armement) in March 1965, as it DEFA offered an 840 Kg armor kit that could be assembled (and disassembled) at the level of any regimental workshop.
The GMC armored truck found damaged in the Besnès valley following an ambush operated by El Mujahideen, nowadays placed in the cemetery as a proud historical landmark and a reminder of the sacrifices that were made.
It should be noted that the end of the Algerian revolutionary war put a stop to the development of these machines.
