الملخص: هدفت الدراسة الحالية التعرف إلى واقع مهنة التدريس وتقديم مقترحات لتجويدها من وجهة نظر المعلمين ومن خلال مسح التجارب العالمية في تجويد مهنة التدريس وإعداد المعلمين. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة ان واقع مهنة التدريس في الأردن يكمن بالاتي: التدريس مازال يعتمد على استراتيجيات التدريس والتقويم التقليدية، والاختبارات ما زالت تعتمد على الورقة والقلم وتقيس كمية المعلومات المخزنة في عقل الطالب، والمعلم مازال ناقل للمعلومات من الكتاب إلى عقل الطالب، بالإضافة إلى زخم نصاب المعلم من الحصص الدراسية والتي تتراوح بين (5-6) حصص يوميا، كما ذكروا أن مهنة التدريس من المهن الشاقة للإنسان سواء أثناء الدوام أم بعدة والانشغال بتصحيح واجبات الطلبة، كما أن هنالك نقص في توافر الأجهزة والأدوات والمشاغل والمختبرات اللازمة لتنفيذ المقرر الدراسي. وقد تم تقديم مقترحات لتجويدها Abstract: The study aimed to identify the reality of the teaching profession and make proposals to improve it from the point of view of teachers and through the survey of international experiences in improving the teaching profession and preparing teachers The results of the study showed that the reality of the teaching profession in Jordan lies in the following: Teaching is still based on traditional teaching and evaluation strategies. The tests are still based on the paper and pen. It measures the amount of information stored in the student's mind. The teacher is still a vector of information from the book to the student's mind.
