Results indicate that the infection of olive trees by the olive and leaf spot in Setif region increases consideably during March, April, October and November. The ratio of the infected leaves was higher at the northern part of the trees (61%) as compared to other directions (46-49%), and was more lower than the higher - parts of trees. The lowest three couples of leaves were much more infected (56%) than the leaves above them (26%).The production of conidia from spot on the fallen leaves continued when the leaves were placed in humid conditions, in petri dishes, for 14 days in Aapril or 8 days in May. The sexual phase of the fungus could not be derected on the infected and fallen leaves.
