Résumé : La mer est pour l’homme un espace propice à la méditation et à la création artistique, notamment en littérature. L’écriture de la mer connaît donc un développement sans précédent dans différents domaines. La mer se présente comme un véritable espace littéraire et artistique qui permet à l’écrivain de produire sur un territoire inexploré offrant un champ thématique très vaste avec une grande liberté de penser au pouvoir de l’imaginaire. Dans ce présent article, nous proposerons un panorama du naufrage à travers les âges. En effet, nous nous sommes donné la liberté de raconter les aventures maritimes des peuples des siècles précédents ainsi que les histoires les plus célèbres des voyages en mer et celles racontées dans la littérature maritime. Cette perspective permet de souligner la continuité thématique entre la littérature et le roman du naufrage. Ainsi, les thèmes littéraires coïncident avec ceux dégagés par l’histoire de la mer et du naufrage notamment la peur de l’océan, l’angoisse de l’eau, de la mort liée aux tempêtes, le rêve de l’infini. Abstract : The sea is for man a space for meditation and artistic creation, especially in literature. The writing of the sea thus experiencing an unprecedented development in various fields. The sea is as a real literary and artistic space that allows the writer to produce on uncharted territory with a very broad thematic field with great freedom to think the power of the imagination. In this present article, we will offer a panorama of the wreck through the ages. Indeed, we have given freedom to tell the maritime adventures of the previous centuries peoples and the most famous stories of sea voyages and those told in the maritime literature. This perspective serves to emphasize the thematic continuity between literature and the novel of the sinking.
