Evolution Cretacee De La Plate-forme Constantinoise

The synthesis of the stratigraphical and structural data on the Constantine platform, NE Algeria, revealed event tectonic during Cretace period. This tectonic activity is best observed in the foreland of the Alpine Belt of Algeria. In areas of the Maghrebides Alpine Belt in Algeria, this tectonic phase occurred metamorphic and volcanism. This event, Albian and Santonian period, is clearly in relation with Atlantic Ocean opening and the senestral relative kinematics of the African-Eurasian plates.
