Abstract From the root to the lexicon in lexicography In this contribution, we intend to analyze the methods of classifying units in lexicography through published lexicological examples (Dallet, Haddadou, Salhi, Bouamara ...) in order to identify the techniques adopted and their regularities while comparing them in goal to identify the most appropriate technique by taking care of the type of readers and users, the purpose of the lexicon ... We will, therefore, focus on the linguistic phenomena of the polysemy, diachronic reconstitution inter or intra dialectally, consonantal tension, alteration of consonants by tension ... which will reveal the methods of taking charge of these phenomena by different lexicographic classification techniques.
