Algerians walk on a bridge next to a municipal electoral campaign banner in the capital Algiers, 28 November 2007. The campaign for the November 29 regional and municipal elections in Algeria opened officially 08 November 2007. More than 1,500 city council positions and 48 departmental councillor posts are up for grabs in the elections with 23 political parties on the ballot and a number of independents vying for the support of 17 million voters.
