A Moroccan policement searches Marrakech's Palais des Congres 13 December 2007 where Morocco's international film festival is taking place. Draft Moroccan legislation earmarked last month nearly 30 percent of the state's 2008 budget for security, underscoring anti-terrorism concerns. Twin bombings targeted the offices of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in nearby Algeria yesterday, killing 34 people and wounding about 170. The bombs were claimed by the extremist network Al-Qaeda's Branch in the Islamic Maghreb (BAQMI).
