Abstract
This study was aimed to identify to what extent the managements are aware of the concept and importance of selection and appointment policies and level of execution of the selection policies through a sample taken from the LTT in the city of Zawia. For this purpose, the researcher used a random sample of (117) individual by using the descriptive analytic method. The data was processed by the (SPSS)Statistical Package for the Social sciences.
The study included several questions by which the researcher tries to achieve the objectives of the study. The study concluded that the company management subject of the study is acknowledges the concept and importance and selection policy . It was also found that the level of implementation and achieving selection policy was high and that the evaluation level of the selection policy was also high. The study also found many factors affecting selection policies .
The study reached several recommendations including setting selection conditions impartially and with transparency and not to be tailored according to pre-determined persons and the selection shall be based on qualification and experience as main criteria without any nepotism regardless of the persons status in addition to equality between personnel in the organization according to standards, laws and regulations.
The researcher also recommended the importance of seeking the help of experts to set the requirements to achieve the intended quality and set an advance plan in order to have the right person in the right place from those individuals selected.
