The Mu'tazila are studied and identified as a predominantly ideological group, unlike the Shiites who are more political in nature. Through this study, we try to determine a political reading of "the origin of Justice" among the five origins of Mu'tazila. Our assumption is that there is a significant overlap between what is political and ideological in the Islamic religion at the time of Mu'tazila's appearance. We will therefore explain the concept of "justice" among the Mu'tazila, and their defensive view of freedom of choice, as a response to the fatalists and the Umayyads, the proponents of the argument of fatalism. The objective is to demonstrate that freedom is not only the fundamental political dimension of justice, but is the very essence of the five origins of Mu'tazila.
