The objective of this study is to know and compare the most important Factors influencing non-performing loans at the Algerian and Jordanian banks. We divided these factors into five groups: those related to credit policy, accounts payable clients, personal credit institutions, the policy of the central bank, and ultimately the factors related to the economic conditions of the country concerned. We divided these factors into five groups: those related to credit policy, Customers creditors, the staff of the credit facilities, the policy of the central bank, and finally the factors related to the economic conditions of the country concerned.
The results of the study indicate an influence of these factors on the non-performing loans excluding factors related to personal and policy of the central bank for Algerian banks and with the exception of the bank's policy Central for Jordanian banks.
The results also reveal that the main factors influencing on the non-performing loans are those related to customers for Algerian banks and the economic conditions for Jordanian banks. In addition, the study shows a significant correlation between all the factors combined and Non-performing loans
