This article research the spread of Islam among the tribes of Sãnhadjä in the Western Sahara, through refusing to link between this change and the establishment of Almoravides state, and taking a stand on the importance of tracking the beginnings of contacts between Arab conquerors and these tribes. whether by invasion campaigns, such as those of MūsāibnNuṣayr and UbaydallahibnAlhabhabin al-Sūs al-Aḳṣā, or by commercial activity between the Maghrib and Bilad-Al-Soudan. where the author confirms the important role of traders in the diffusion of Islam to the depth of almulattamun lands (Lamtuna, Massufa and Djuddala), specially through Awdgost city and roads passing through there areas, noting the efficiency of the rustumiya state and its capital Tàhert in this change of creed, and based on Arab reference to demonstrating this reading.
