After the fall of Toledo(478h/1085g), The Andalusians in General and primarely scientists began leaving their country and look for a new home which provides them the security and finacial support to continue their scientific research and their emigration was to diferent countries and Bejaia was one of these countries in the sixth and seventh century hidjri.
Their emigration had an important role to build a new scientific center in the Islamic Maghreb and was the begining of a scientific movement and the result is the stand out of many scientists in this town.
In this paper I will demonstrate the causes of the emigration of the Andalusian scientists to the Maghreb in general and Bejaia in particulary, and show their role in the developement of the scientific movement in this city, I will also give a biographies of the Andalusian scientits whom emigrated to Bejaia according to the book of ‘unwan diraya.
